How WeBetSmart handles contact messages, browser preferences, analytics and affiliate link data.
Scope and contact
WeBetSmart is responsible for the handling of information on webetsmart.com described in this notice. We publish football information, betting analysis and bookmaker comparisons. Use the contact details on our contact page for privacy questions. External bookmaker websites have their own privacy policies.
For questions about your information or to make a privacy request, use our contact page. Avoid sending passwords, payment details, identity documents or sensitive personal information in a message.
Contact messages
Our contact form sends your name, email address, selected topic and message to our backend. Your message is forwarded to the relevant team email inbox, and a confirmation may be sent to the address you provide. The form also sends the time spent completing it and a count of mouse movements for spam protection. A hidden field helps detect automated submissions.
Providing these details is your choice. The form requires a name, email address, topic and message to submit an enquiry. We use the message to respond, investigate reported errors or handle the matter you raised; submitting an enquiry is not a newsletter subscription. Request logs may include your email address and IP address for delivery troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
Cookies and browser preferences
The site uses browser storage to remember preferences such as theme, display mode, league view and selected bookmakers. Some features also store a display experiment selection. These preferences can remain until you clear this site’s browser data.
Display-selection cookies, including cookies with the ds_ prefix and view-selection cookies, remember which version of a page to show. When set by the site, these cookies have a 30-day expiry. Browser settings let you remove or block cookies and clear local storage; doing so may reset your preferences.
Analytics and third-party scripts
The site uses Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica to measure visits and use of the website. They receive technical and usage information, which may include IP address, browser and device details, visited pages, referring pages and interaction events, and may use cookies or similar identifiers.
If your device is set to a time zone in Europe (including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland) or another EU territory, or your time zone cannot be determined, these scripts are not loaded until you allow analytics, and never when you decline it. In other regions, and in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Turkey, analytics is on by default and you can turn it off at any time in Privacy settings.
Yandex Metrica is configured for click maps, link tracking and Webvisor session replay. These features can record how visitors interact with pages and are included in the analytics choice. You can continue using the site without allowing them.
Open Privacy settings on any page to allow or decline analytics, or withdraw a previous permission. Your choice is stored in this browser for 180 days, then the default for your region applies again. If browser storage is unavailable, the choice lasts only for the open page. Withdrawing permission reloads the page to stop loaded analytics and removes analytics cookies accessible to this site. It cannot undo information already sent to a provider or delete cookies on other websites. Google and Yandex describe their handling of data in their privacy notices.
Affiliate links and external websites
When you follow a bookmaker link through our /go/ pages, the site sends click information to our backend, including the bookmaker identifier, link alias where applicable, browser user agent and referring page. Our backend can record the request IP address, country and time alongside a click, and may use ip-api.com to determine the country from an IP address. This supports referral attribution and selection of an available destination. This processing follows your request to open an external link and is separate from optional Google and Yandex analytics.
The destination operator or affiliate network may use its own tracking identifiers and cookies to attribute a referral. Review its privacy notice before registering or sharing information. WeBetSmart does not receive a bookmaker deposit or process your betting payment on this website.
Purposes, service providers and retention
Optional analytics relies on your permission. We process contact details to deal with an enquiry you choose to send, and request and referral records to operate the service, attribute referrals and prevent abuse. These operational uses are distinct from optional audience measurement; declining analytics does not prevent us from receiving an enquiry or handling a link you choose to open.
Hosting and email delivery services process information needed to deliver pages and contact messages. Google and Yandex receive analytics information only when you allow it; an IP-based country lookup may be handled by ip-api.com for a referral. External service providers may process information outside your country under their own service arrangements and privacy notices. Contact us for information about the providers and arrangements relevant to your request.
Contact correspondence is held in email systems, technical request information in operational logs, and referral click records in our backend. We do not state a fixed deletion deadline for these records because a uniform automatic deletion schedule is not currently implemented. You can ask what information is held about you and request deletion where applicable. Analytics providers have their own retention settings and policies; withdrawing permission stops future collection by this site, rather than deleting earlier provider records.
Your information and choices
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Contact us with enough detail to identify your request. These rights can be subject to legal conditions.
You may also contact the data protection authority in your country. In the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office provides guidance on privacy rights and complaints.
